PINNIPEDS
There are numerous anatomical and physiological differences between the teeth of pinnipeds and terrestrial mammals; as well as between the Seal/Sea Lion families and Walrus. The families will be considered separately because of these important characteristics.

The dental features of this Order illustrates well that the health of the animal through the most predictable therapy must be the primary consideration, and not the retention of diseased teeth.
